Friends of Walter Pierce Park is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing and developing Walter C. Pierce Park, which runs from 20th and Calvert Streets to Adams Mill Road. AdamsMorgan Main Street Group, Inc. works to "[enhance] our commercial district and preserving its multicultural dynamism." One Adams Morgan brings together local community organizations: the Adams Morgan Community Foundation, Friends of Marie Reed School & Recreation Center, Marie Reed Community Learning Center, and Marie Reed Recreation Center. Purewaterdc.com is "a clearinghouse of information for concerned DC residents on the lead contamination issue and a mechanism...for people to show DC leaders that they are concerned."
