Public Services and the Environment -  The Public Services and Enviornment Committee is responsible for reviewing and recommending ANC grants. In addition, the committee covers the following issues: the environment, arts and culture, education, health and human services, parks and recreation, public works and libraries. The committee typically meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Kalorama Recreation Center. There is typically no meeting in August. Please check the Web site to be sure there is a meeting scheduled because sometimes they are canceled for lack of business.
