(In the descriptions below, "down" is south toward downtown DC.) </i></i><p> <i><i>The tour approaches Adams Morgan from Connecticut Ave. and the Woodley Park-Zoo Metro station via Calvert St., goes down the 18th St. restaurant corridor and east on U past nightclubs and the police and fire stations toward the U St./Cardozo Metro station, up 16th with a detour through Malcolm X (Meridian Hill) Park just outside the ANC district and toward the Columbia Heights Metro station (opens September 1999), then turns west through neighborhood stores and restaurants on Columbia Road to Kalorama and Connecticut, ending near the Dupont Circle Metro station.
